Types of Social Media Content

In this article, I will introduce you the types of content you can create for social media channels.

1. Written posts, blogs, and articles.

These articles demonstrate your company's skill and understanding, which can help you gain credibility and improve your reputation. LinkedIn and Facebook are ideal platforms for this type of material, especially for articles of 1,500 words or more. You have the option of posting the entire item, a small excerpt, or a link to the piece. Twitter is also a good option, but due to the character limit, you can just provide a link and a short quote, which can still bring traffic to your website.

2.  Images

Good images or videos definitely increase engagement, and they endear your brand to customers. That's why visual content is much more digestible and engaging than long-form blogs and articles. Smartphone cameras are sophisticated enough to take stunning pictures, and apps help you quickly edit them, add filters to them, and more.

3. Videos

Capturing videos is easy and convenient—and they’re more engaging than pictures. How-to guides, video tours, and product updates and demonstrations all make for great video content that can both drive traffic to your website and increase sales.

4. Video Stories

Stories are images and short videos that last 24 hours before disappearing for good. Instagram, Facebook, and Youtube shorts have popularized this content type and remain the best options.
